After you have completed the questionnaire, we will compile a bespoke, unique and individually designed itinerary which will ensure that each and every requirement and request of yours is completely satisfied. If you are interested principally in wildlife, we will arrange single- or multi-destination visits to some of South Africa’s most renowned luxury game reserves. If you want to experience the different watersport options combined with wildlife and coastal regions then we will arrange that for you. If you are interested in the wine regions and/or Cape Town, these interests of yours will be completely catered for. Nothing is impossible and with our wealth of experience, we can give you, within a very short period of time, an indication of what you may expect with a Will of Africa Africa guided luxury safari package. Whether you are travelling with family, as a group or alone, we will design a personal programme for you to meet your budget and expectations.

We will tailor your itinerary to your exact requirements. Listed below are a sample of the selection of destinations by region which you may like to visit. If you are interested in a destination which is not featured below, please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss.

A luxury luxury safari tour could include the following regional highlights:

MPUMALANGA:
  • Blyde River Canyon - the third largest canyon in the world.
  • Bourke’s Luck Potholes - named after Tom Bourke who discovered gold here at the confluence of the Treur and Blyde rivers. View the potholes from specially constructed bridges and visit the museum.
  • The Lisbon Falls - water cascades over the sheer cliff to a pool 92m below.
  • The Mac Mac Falls and the Mac Mac Pools - a natural swimming pool. The name of the falls was derived from the town of Mac Mac, an old mining camp where many miners were of Scottish descent.
  • God’s Window - magnificent views over the Blyde River Canyon and the Lowveld towards Kruger National Park.
  • Pilgrim's Rest - a historic village and National Monument, established in 1873 when the first significant gold strike in South Africa was made in the area.
  • Pinnacle Rock - a spectacular granite column rising 30m above the forest in the southern part of the Blyderivierspoort Reserve.
  • Kruger National Park - South Africa's premium reserve spreading over nearly 2 million hectares.
  • Private game farms of the region - a number of private game reserves border the western and southern boundaries of the Kruger National Park, and offer day- and night-guided tours and luxurious accommodation.
  • Barberton - founded in 1884 as a mining camp after the discovery of gold by the Barber brothers, making it older than the city of Johannesburg.

The Western Cape, Garden Route and Eastern Cape may be enjoyed on a guided tour as an option to the luxury safari option.

This option focuses on the scenery, visiting towns and tourist attractions, driving on tar roads to the beautiful parts of the Western and Eastern Cape, especially the Garden Route. Activities are also part of this spectacular trip.

These trips focus more on the traditional way of seeing the Western Cape. The distances are not as great as the Adventure Travel tours and they are done in Small People carriers, (maximum 8 people) not focusing on the off-road experience.

‘These trips will be visiting tourist ‘hot spots’, but also some of the lesser known sites that are equally stunning.

The Safari option allows the client the option to combine the various luxury game reserves and lodges as part of their tour rather than staying just in guesthouses and hotels in cities and towns. This is a very romantic and peaceful way of travelling through South Africa.
